Shai Albaranes is the Corporate Vice President of Innovation and Ventures at Orbia (www.orbia.com), a publicly traded global company and leader in agriculture, water infrastructure, fiber optics, energy storage materials, and polymers. Among other things, Shai founded and leads Orbia Ventures (www.OrbiaVentures.com), Orbia’s $130 million corporate venture capital fund.

Prior to Orbia, Shai served as Global Head of Products and Strategic Solutions at Netafim, the world’s largest irrigation company. Earlier in his career, he was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, advising multinational corporations on strategic, operational, and organizational challenges.

As an entrepreneur, Shai founded a successful startup and held business development and marketing roles in several other startups. Today, he mentors founders, serves on boards, and invests as an angel investor in early-stage ventures.

Shai holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA with distinction in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship from Reichman University.
